On behalf of the Indian American Intellectuals Forum (IAIF), we heartily congratulate you and express our appreciation for featuring the Chief Minister of Gujarat, India, Narendra Modi, on the front page of your esteemed magazine.

Narendra Modi is perhaps the most popular Chief Minister ever in Gujarat and the most popular in India today. Under his rule, Gujarat has made giant strides in each and every field of economic activity. Gujarat has been growing at a scorching pace of 11.3 a year since 2005. There is complete peace and prosperity all over Gujarat.

After 9/11, Islamic terrorists have carried out 18,616 attacks all over the world and they have killed thousands of innocent men, women and children. (http://intellectualsforum.blogspot.com/) But Mr. Modi has successfully thwarted the insidious attempts of Islamic terrorists in Gujarat. He has developed a knack of handling unsocial, rowdy and violent elements with a minimal application of force.

Narendra Modi is a very dynamic administrator. He is being unfairly targeted by some pro-terrorist organizations led by discredited elements masquerading as NGOs in this country. In addition, a deadly combination of Islamists-Leftists whose diabolical design is to weaken India from within, create chaos, and establish Khalifat (Islamic rule) in India are behind this sordid campaign against Modi.


The Managing Director of The Brookings Institution has described Mr. Modi as a “force in Indian politics”, “top performing Chief Minister”, a “talented and effective administrator” and "a man America needed to know better".

While our economy is in the doldrums India’s economic growth has been phenomenal. Unlike Pakistan, India and America are natural and reliable allies in the war on terror.

Millions of Indian Americans in this country hold Mr. Modi in very high esteem. Your gesture of featuring Mr. Modi on the front page of your reputed magazine will go a long way in consolidating Indo-American relationship further.
